♥♥February Fever! ♥♥

Important note: I might be changing the address of this blog to: Camillaandco.blogspot.com (since the banner reads Camilla and Co.) When I started this blog, much like my shop, I had NO idea what to call it and so running on short time, I called it whatever came into my head first. Lol. So, if Camillathecutie doesn't work, it's because I've changed it to Camillaandco.blogspot.com :) Just a heads up, everyone!

Eeeep! I can't believe it's almost February. That means... Valentines day! I've never been too huge on Valentines, but this year I have a few cute ideas I would like to try. And soon it'll be Derek's birthday, and Josh's birthday... and then my sister's, Camilla's, and my brother's birthday! (In that exact order!) We're going to have a couple busy months ahead of us.. phew. So, I suppose I'm in a sort of state of preparation lol. Prep and planning. It's hard to do anything concrete and short notice with Cam, good thing I like planning and plotting.

Busy months aside, January itself has been pretty slow, and we've been pretty lazy for the most part. Especially me. Lol. Well, as lazy as I can afford to be with a little baby around. It's easy to see Camilla is having a blast cruising around the house like she's queen of the world! But take her outside and sit her on a blanket and she stays still, it's amusing to say the least, how her behavior changes when she's in a place she is unfamiliar with. She also loves sitting up and playing with her toys, and playing in her sit and spin station. She's been particularly keen on the keyboard noisy part of it, but still loves to pluck her favorite toys off.  She also babbles her head off, and once in awhile when she's in a certain mood she will get VERY screechy. Lol, it's so strange but funny. She especially loves to screech at Desoto... for some reason. Paired with her newfound hobby of grabbing his ears and hitting them so they flop up and down, well, he takes it like a champ. He accepts her odd screeching and general abuse with a grain of salt; poor Desoto lol. She seems to do it a lot more in the evening time and me and Josh will just look at each other and be like... "There's the screeching banshee again!"

Here's a peek via collages on what's been going on!

She's getting so big! I wish there was more news to share, but there really hasn't been any. Lol. I've been *trying* to work on organization, and I have been planning out more dinners and having fun in the kitchen... see! Voila!
Fun in the kitchen! Thai Noodles
The other night I made some really really delicious (not to toot my own horn or nothin'!) grilled chicken and Thai noodles that were nice and spicy! Josh is not a fan of spicy (boohoo!), but this dish wasn't too high on the hotness meter. I love spicy, though, and I was definitely glad he could handle it. It had more of a spicy after bite than anything else, so I was pleased when he went back for seconds and thirds. Oh it was so yummy, in its delectable peanut sauce, with fresh veggies and crushed peanuts, giving it a flavorful, crunchy texture. I will have to share the recipe because I am so putting this in our regular meal rotation. It's my new favorite! This beats out my favorite Filipino noodle dish (pancit), but I think Josh would disagree with me there. I'm sure he likes Pancit more lol.

Well, besides my kitchen adventures, Cam's keeping us on our toes as usual. Funny story... last night she peed on Josh while he was getting her ready for her bath LOL then he passed her to me so he could change, and then she peed on me as well! I guess she just didn't want to take a bath... it was hilarious. Poor little Cam! Poor us!

Hey look... more pics, yay! Hope everyone is doing great. :)

LOL.

Before I forget, look what Grandma Sue made for us! It will be gorgeous sitting atop our Christmas tree next year; it's so lovely and look at that detail! I'm so happy we did not just pick a random tree topper from the store, because not only did the selection at the stores around here totally suck, a handmade gift from a loved one is incomparable to a commercial 'every other house in the neighborhood has one' item. I love it. Thank you Sue, for taking the time to craft us such exquisiteness! This angel makes me want to give up now 'cause I'll never be that good! LOL. (And tell your student thank you, from us, for knitting Camilla the hat! It was a fantastic job. :) I didn't even see the card that came with your package.. I'm so blind!)

And one last thing...

Desoto says hi!
And bye!
And... woof!

Oyyyy, it's 1 a.m...

Whenever I look at the clock and it says 1 a.m. I always always...

...are you still with me?

ALWAYS... get such a rush of... panic! My brain screams at me: GET SOME SLEEP YOU LOON! But I have things to do.

Apologies for the wacked out layout. And ignore the weird random "London" peeking out over the banner.... Lol. I opted for yet a different look, don't get me wrong-- I liked the brown, I just decided that I wanted something a little lighter. So phoooey, here I am messing with coding and whatnot. Bear with me while this blog goes under construction... I'm not even sure if I like THIS color/layout. Html coding is not that fun, and it's something I haven't done seriously for a handful of years now... only when a friend asks for html coding or site help do I drag my mind back into it, because it's a bit annoying, but I guess once you start remembering stuff it gets easier. Lol. We'll see. My mind hurts.

And I know, I know, it's been awhile since a post, but we've been busy lazy. Or I should say I'VE been lazy, lol. We've just been doing our thing... I've been catching up on my shop (my mail pile was... well, piling up), and I had a couple Neurology appointments. Nothing too crazy has been going on, Camilla is as cute as ever, and Desoto as dopey as ever. We have lots of pictures to share to boot, but that's nothing new. :)

I'm sure there is more to say... somewhere in my brain... but I just can't grasp it right now. I'm tired and bleary eyed, and when I close my eyes all I see are codes and numbers and tags. <b> SIGH. </b>

<sigh>I'm such a whiner but let me whine for the sake of whining! </sigh>

Yeah, those tags are annoying, effective... but annoying!

ANYWAY! Here are some pictures, before I fall asleep at the keyboard! Camilla is the cutest and sweetest baby EVERRRRRRR!!!!!!!! Prepare for messy photo sharing montage!

...Oh, Grandma Sue.. we got your package! Thank you sooo much for that beautiful angel you made. It is beautiful. We really appreciate the time it took you to make that, and the craftsmanship is just stunning. I will have to take pictures! And Camilla's hat you knit is SO darling! We love it all! <3

Camilla got a new owl hat, cute eh?

A furrrrocious wild animal hat I recently sold. (Not made of real animal, thank God)
Pretty eyes. :)

Camilla, adventurer baby extraordinaire!

Omg this face. <3

Oh noes! Not happy on the trip home from the Neurologist. :(

Grunting.. she pooped two minutes later. Lol.

Thank you for the hat Grandma Sue!!
(I need to make this  part wider, not happy with the narrow-ness blerrghhhh!!!)
(Oh crap, I just realized I haven't made Josh's lunch yet... OFF I GO!)

A New Year, a New Look.

Posted by ChristineElaine at 10:14 PM 0 comments
Happy 2013! How has it been for everyone else, so far?

It's been pretty good for us, can't complain! Although *cough cough* no more sleeping in for me since Josh is back to work, but tis no biggie! It's actually been a very quiet January so far - not a whole lot of new stuff going on, no not even gossip! How boring! (Except on one of my favorite shows Gossip Girl.. which is now over... boohoo!) but I digress, you all know I would be blogging up a storm if anything of real interest were going on. :D

Oh, there is one interesting thing of note.. Camilla is sitting! Well, for the most part. She's finding her balance. She topples over, but she does it. When I walked back into the room and she was sitting with her spinning singing toy, I gasped and was like, WHAT NO WAY!!! That silly lady of ours!

Here's proof!

Oh how I love our little girl so so much. <3

I figured since it was a new year, the blog could get a new look. I'm also adding some extra linkies up top via a menu, so I can add other interesting stuff. I was thinking of maybe incorpoarting the shop blog on this one, but decided against it since I don't think I've even visited or updated that blog since the last post I wrote lol. I'll probably just delete it since I have other ways of interacting with shoppers (Wanelo, Pinterest, Indulgy, emails, etc!) I have been meaning to add some fun stuff like some fun DIY projects, recipes, and if I can manage-- maybe even have a gallery for family, although I'm not sure if it's possible to make that private. I just backed up onto discs all of Camilla's 2012 pictures.. and I believe there's well over 1500... believe it or not. Phewweee!

I still can't believe it's 2013... I'm not used to writing it yet, ha! I asked my sister if she had made any New Years Resolutions (since I hadn't and was pondering whether or not I could steal one of hers lol), and she said she didn't, except to eliminate the word 'maybe' so she wouldn't procrastinate as much. And I thought that was a stellar idea -- except I wanted to take it a step further. I decided to eliminate the sentence: "I'll just ask Josh do it." Because not only is that the laziest thing ever, things that could be done now will take even longer, because it's not as if Josh does everything right away, either!  Lol. So that's my resolution -- instead of asking Josh to do something for me (do the water filters, take the trash and recycling down) and a few other tasks I usually ask of him, I'm just going to bite the bullet and do it myself. And already, I've gotten SO much done. Normally I would've asked him to take down the Christmas tree lights, and lug all the boxes back into the garage... but I did that a couple mornings ago (even without coffee fuel, shocking!) and also broke down a TON of extra cardboard boxes we had filling up the garage and stuffed the recycling box with all of it, etc!

I suppose being more organized falls under the category of my "instead of asking..." resolution, because I got every single photo of Camilla off of Josh's phone, and my phone, and compiled everything together and saved onto my computer, then burnt onto discs! Well, for the year 2012 anyway. It might not sound like much, but those 1500+ photos and videos were quite time consuming, especially ensuring that everything was categorized in the right place. GOSH! I've been feeling mighty accomplished, and it's totally a great feeling.

Next on my list, is clearing up the crafty area room. There are some books I want to delve into, and oh! Josh got me this huge organizer thingy for my business, so I set that up, and am still figuring out how to incorporate it into my system. Busy, busy, busy! Quiet, but busy. :)

Well, those are my resolutions. Let's see how long I stick to them. Lol. I figure these would be a little easier than the other resolutions I have made previously that I've NEVER kept. I would also like to be a little more organized in the kitchen... and to cook healthier meals, more frequently. Which... let's pretend I DIDN'T make muddie buddies tonight because I was craving something sweet... that doesn't count!!

Welp, here are a few photos from what's been going on in our neck of the woods. Bear with me while I figure out the new layout of Camilla's blog, all this html tagging and coding, I haven't done it in so long!
